Down in the east end of Glasgow within the Tennent's Wellpark Brewery on Duke Street, something very big, very iconic and very exciting has been turned on...
The central part of Tennent’s vision for the site improvement was the installation of a large video wall to the gable end of the building to show Tennent’s content, old and new. reflexblue responded by providing Tennent’s with the concept of installing a massive TV set complete with retro surroundings.
The result was a magnificent 1,353 ft2 installation complete with tuning dials, on/off switch, aerials, authentic 70’s wallpaper and, of course a few cans of Tennent’s finest lager perched on top of the telly!
This
was a huge undertaking, which was only made possible by working closely
with the Tennent’s site improvement team comprising of Site Engineer
Manager Declan Flood, Project Manager Paul Lawwell, Utilities Engineer
Alasdair Hamilton and Controls & Automation Engineer Ian Jones.
The 5m x 4m digital video wall was provided by SBC via the Tennent’s site Improvement team and reflexblue managed the project in collaboration with Tennent's from concept through to design, planning, manufacture and installation. Working with a team of professionals including, Smug, Clancy Consulting, Direct Engineering, Prosigns, ETI and Inurfacemedia.
reflexblue also worked closely with Tennent's to provide the initial content for the screen including a quirky Tennent’s PacMan scene.
