Yesterday saw the official launch of www.disabilitysportfinder.org.uk by visually impaired bowler and Commonwealth Games Silver medalist, Robert Conway.
The site will be vital in encouraging people with disabilities to participate in sport at an early age and will bring clubs and participants together which is a terrific legacy.
The disability sport finder website is an invaluable resource for parents, carers and children across Scotland providing useful information dedicated to provide people living with a disability with information on sports activities and clubs.
The project was driven by West Dunbartonshire Council with initial funding provided by the Big Lottery Fund and further support provided by partners, Inverclyde and East Dunbartonshire Councils. The initiative will now be rolled out to other local authorities.
