reflexblue successfully pitched to create a new sports brand for Fair Trade Sports Balls Ltd. We were commissioned to research, develop and design 3 exclusive Fairtrade footballs in a unique UK initiative. After significant research and review of our ideas, BALA Sport was born.
BALA is Gaelic for ‘ball’ and means ‘strength’ in Punjabi and the tri-shaped logo symbolises prosperity. The three footballs that we created are the BALA Pro, the BALA Team and the BALA Play all aimed at different markets and different levels.

With the brand now launched and online to buy, it’s Fair Trade Sports Balls Ltd’s aim to grow the 1% market share to ensure that the men and women making the footballs receive a fair wage and access to further social and economic benefits.

reflexblue have enjoyed working on this unique project so far and we look forward to hearing all about Vincent and Craig's forthcoming trip to Sialkot, Pakistan to visit the Fairtrade factories where the BALA Sport footballs are made.
The balls are stunning and we are delighted with the branding of the whole project. It's been a very positive and enjoyable experience working with Reflex Blue on this.
